 ==Summary==
-[[D.W. Read|D.W.]] wants earrings because her friend, [[Emily]], has earrings. She asks her [[Jane Read|mom]] and [[David Read|dad]], but they claim her ears will turn green. After D.W.'s persistence, Mrs. Read takes D.W. to shopping for earrings only if she approves of them. While at the superstore, D.W. wanders off when her mom is distracted. Lost, she runs into Emily, whose ears have turned green. Emily directs D.W. back to her mom, who hasn't noticed that she left. D.W. no longer wants earrings.
