This is the first season where the animation is entirely done by [[Oasis Animation]]. Previously, Oasis had done the pre-production for [[Season 12]]/[[Season 13|13]] and [[Season 14|14]]/[[Season 15|15]], while [[Cookie Jar Entertainment]] handled everything else.
[[9 Story Media Group]] will not be animating the show this season. Instead, [[WGBH]] has signed an agreement with [[Oasis Animation]].<ref name=AWN/>

The twentieth season of Arthur began production on September 9, 2015.[1] It will premiere on PBS on Monday, October 10, 2016,[2] with the next three episodes premiering later in the week.[3][4][5]

9 Story Media Group will not be animating the show this season. Instead, WGBH has signed an agreement with Oasis Animation.[1]

Together with Season 21, there will be 14 new 30-minute episodes. There will also be two one-hour specials that are not considered part of either season.[1]

Christian Distefano is the new voice of D.W.,[6] replacing Andrew Dayton. Distefano previously voiced James in Season 18.
