Marc Brown is the creator of the Arthur books.
Marc Brown's children are heavily referenced in the TV series as well as in the books. He has had a silent cameo in the episode Elwood City Turns 100! In the episode D.W.'s Library Card, there is a book on a shelf D.W. was looking at called "The Life and Times Of Marc Brown."
