First, I know this is going to sound really, really old

I sent an email to Oasis Animation, well I sent a hand written letter and a typed emailed letter with the same message, but added a few more to it and on December 2, I got this reply:

"Dear William, (they used my last name but I'm replacing it with my first for privacy)

We received your recent letter about including a railroad crossing and fire drill in new episodes of ARTHUR. Thank you for your feedback and thoughtful viewing of the series. We are pleased that you enjoy the characters and stories. We also appreciate the time and energy you put into your recommendations for the show.

After doing some research, I was able to find an episode that features a flashing railroad crossing. In the hour-long special titled “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas,” Muffy sings a song about halfway through the episode. During a fantasy sequence in the song, we see Francine ride by a railroad crossing on a train. I’ve attached a screenshot for your reference.

I will be certain to forward your comments and suggestions about both the railroad crossing and fire drill-themed episode to the production team. Thank you again for your email and have a wonderful kind of day!

Sincerely,

Deborah Frank, Production Assistant on PBS’s ARTHUR"

I know I wrote to 9 Story Entertainment as I showed in a previous blog but that was before I knew Arthur was being turned over to Oasis Animation. Plus, before I wrote to 9 Story, I wrote directly to WGBH but didn't hear back from them. And then thanks to Orion001 I wrote to 9 Story and received a reply from them as can be seen in this blog http://arthur.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:WillTheArthurandBusterFan5050/I_Got_A_Letter_From_9_Story_Entertainment!

And as it turns out, there was a railroad crossing on Arthur and it has the kind of crossing signal I want to see and a gate. But there's a catch to that: as said in the letter, it was on "Arthur's Perfect Christmas," which I cannot and do not watch because I'm Jehovah's Witness and wouldn't feel comfortable watching that. A screengrab of that was attached to the email.

Despite that though, I still hope they put a crossing in a future episode and one I will be comfortable watching. And though I wouldn't mind if they used black and yellow gates again, the Simpsons did in a couple of their 90s episodes, I hope they do red and white gates this time, and hopefully put lights on them like they did in newer Simpsons episodes such as this one http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/Them%2C_Robot (main page, for gallery see http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/Them,_Robot/Gallery and this picture http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/File:Them,_Robot_(046).jpg.) If the gates are red and white but don't have lights or are black and yellow again but have lights, I'll take that too but I hope they do what the Simpsons did but do a little better as done in this screenshot that I modified http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/File:Crossing_Gate_from_The_Simpsons_Them_Robot_4D.png

If you want to see the email I sent them, which was on October 22nd, so it's been over a month between the time I sent my letter to Oasis Animations and when WGBH wrote back. Oasis Animations also replied to my message and told me they'd forward to WGBH, which I'll be happy to share later as well. (I may post it anyway but in a reply but not right now.) And I'd have shared this earlier but decided not to or never got around to it for whatever reason.

Good day now.
