I have been drawing some Arthur fanart and am planning to post them online. I would like to post them on Deviant Art (see my profile to get to my Deviant Art page)

But for now, I would like to share with you three sneakpeaks of what I have to offer. The first two will have Arthur and Buster, and the third one will have Carl.

This is a picture of Arthur and Buster as teenagers. These two are 16-year-olds. I have them wearing thick button-down shirts over white shirts and blue jeans. Arthur's button shirt is golden yellow like his sweater that he usually wears in the series, and also because yellow is his favorite color so I've read on the Arthur Read page. Buster's shirt, if I'm not mistaken is Turquoise. It could be another color, I'll have to check again. Originally I was going to make his shirt sky blue, but I decided to make it turquoise, or bluish green, kine of like the sweater he usually wears, only without the pink collar, plus Buster's favorite color blue. Well, his shirt isn't completely blue but is part blue.

I have two more versions of this picture, one uncolored version and one that is colored but more complicated than the one you see. The drawings are the same but the colors are slightly, or drastically, depending on how you see it or how it really is. I plan to share those later. In fact I made two photo copies of the uncolored version and this is one of the two copies.

This is a picture of Arthur Read and his friends, Binky Barnes, Brain Powers, and Buster Baxter all as teenagers. Also 16 year olds (except for Binky being 17.) To be honest, I didn't just make this picture, I got the idea from this

I liked the picture of the Joe Jackson band, which includes from left to right: Dave Houghton, Gary Sanford, Joe Jackson (the leader of the band) and Graham Maby. This is the main website.

As I was saying, that was one of my favorite pictures of the Joe Jackson band, especially of Sanford, who plays guitar in the band and I've liked this picture for the last several years (2005 or 2006 when I first saw these pictures) and fantasized cartoon characters standing like these guys. Then more recently I fantasized Arthur, Buster, Brain, and Binky, as teenagers, in these exact same poses. This time I decided to get it out of my dreams and on paper and then on the internet for everyone to see.

What's different about this picture and the photo, other than the characters being anthropomorphic animals instead of complete humans, and the characters being adolescents, I have Arthur, who's the title character and in Jackson's position, being the smallest of the group, even though Jackson is the tallest. Arthur is also the smallest because he's the youngest of the group. Buster, who is in Maby's position, is a little taller than Arthur because he's older, by one month and ten days, but smaller and younger than Brain and Binky. Brain is in Sanford's position and Binky is in Houghton's position.

I had to get creative with the appearal though. I think I had a hard time deciding how to dress my characters and what colors they should wear. I decided to have Arthur, Buster, and Binky wear white T shirts and wear jackets over their shirts. I have Arthur dressed like a bad boy, and I've seen a few other cartoon characters dress like this, whether regularly or on occasion. Don't worry, Arthur is not bad and neither are his pictured friends even though they do look serious. I could have had them smile, but I decided to make them look the way you see them.

Buster, pretty much the same as Arthur, except I gave him an orange jacket like I've been seeing him in in some episodes, including "I Owe You One." In fact even though he normally wears blue on the show, he has been depicted as wearing orange, at least on some websites, and even the Postcards from Buster website (pbskids.org). Though I could have picked something else, I just decided to put him in orange, his alternate color, well, that's what I'm going to say about it.

Brain, I decided to have him almost completely modelled after Sanford, who has in my opnion the best pose in the picture. I could have had Buster do it, but I decided to have Brain in it instead. I also gave Brain almost the same shirt Sanford was wearing, although I probably didn't do a very good job making his shirt. Seeing how he's the second oldest, I made him the second tallest.

Binky, I pretty much just had him dress as he did at the end of the episode the Contest. Yes, he was 13 in that episode, but even three years later I'm having him still wear this. I probably should have just had the whole gang dress as they did at the end of "The Contest," but this was my picture. I don't know, maybe I'll draw this picture again and have them dress just as they did in "The Contest."

I also gave Brain and Arthur more hair just like they had in The Contest. One more detail, I also added finger nails and thumb nails to the characters.

I have one more version of this picture, it's basically the same as this one, except Binky, like Houghton, is wearing his sun-glasses on his face instead of on his shirt. I would post it on Deviant Art first, that's where I'm planning to put it and the other pictures I'm showing you, but maybe later on I might just let you see the picture, but not today.

The last picture I'm going to share is this one:

Carl, (the Arthur character and rabbit with Asperger's Syndrome)as a teenager, standing at a railroad crossing.

This is a picture of Carl, the rabbit character with Aspeger's Syndrome, as a teenager standing at a railroad crossing and there happens to be a train going by it. In this picture, he's supposed to be on a rail-fanning trip with me since we, Carl and I, both like trains. I'm not in the picture because I'm worried about my personal  privacy and security and for my protection. But yeah, Carl is talking directly to me in this picture. In case you cannot read it very well, he's saying to me, "THANKS FOR INVITING ME TO COME WITH YOU ON A RAIL-FANNING TRIP WILLIAM!" "You're welcome, Carl."

This picture was also made for Fernadox84, but he up and disappeared. Wherever he is, I hope he's still alive and okay and I hope he gets to see this, he wanted to see it and another picture of Carl I drew, which is also at a railroad crossing.

Since Carl's favorite color is blue, he has the liberty of dressing in his favorite color. His jeans, shirt, and jacket, or coat, are in three different shades of blue. But I decided to spoil Carl.

If you're a railfan like I am and want to know more about the crossing signal, it's supposed to be a cantilever crossing signal, there's a ladder to the side of the signal, and I have the crossing gate mounted behind the signal. Sorry I couldn't draw the whole signal or the whole gate. Also, the signal lights are 12" with 20" backgrounds (we railfans call them 12x20 lights) and they are lit with L.E.D.s (crossing signals are also lit with incandescent lights, but not the ones in the picture.)
