The Cajun and the New Gal[edit]

"Why do I have weird feelings! I'm so... unusual... what's with me?"

Ladonna woke up. Her scarlet hair flowed in a messy way as she walked downstairs in her Sagwa footage pajamas bought at the Goodwill 2 blocks away from the Sugar Bowl.

There's a lot to Ladonna her friends didn't know. She was born on Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands while her Cajun parents were working in the Hurricane Isabel cleanup effort in Puerto Rico. She grew up with feelings for both boys and girls in the most religious parts of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Meanwhile, Madison had to secretly come to terms that her sister was bisexual.

When Ladonna and her family came to Elwood City due to Madison getting a scholarship at the Maharshi University of Elwood City, she thought "That university is essentially the east coast clone of the Maharishi University of Management down in Iowa, and somehow is a member of the NCAA's Big Ten Conference! Why did Madison just move there by herself, darn it!"

Ladonna walked down the stairs and poured herself some Puffy Unicorn Crunch. This was because the local ShopRite was all out of the lousy Trix knockoff that is Crunch. So, why bother getting the real thing?

Once Ladonna was out the door, she ran over to Arthur's house to catch some reruns of Rescue 911 on the local Justice Network affiliate. Come on, she had the day off because of a school district employee strike. As she ran, she bumped into this girl she had never seen before.

"Oof!"

"What the heck, you-"

Ladonna looked at the other girl. She was a rabbit like her, but had a white complexion. She had brownish hair that reminded her of Rae, the soccer player who died in a car wreck a week after Ladonna moved to Elwood City. She wore a white skirt and a sky blue shirt with black socks and brownish-tan shoes.

Ladonna needed to know this girl.

"What's ya name?"

"Rebecca. Rebecca Hephzibah Yosef."

"Um, I'm so sorry, but at the same time, I think we should meet again!"

"How about tomorrow?"

"Okay then!"

The two exchanged goodbyes as Ladonna run off to Arthur's house, thinking of Rebecca. At the same time, Rebecca was feeling romantic about Ladonna. She was bisexual too, but was more closeted than Ladonna. Rebecca was born in Kiryat Motzkin, Israel and lived in Elwood City with her older sister and grandmother because her parents were Israeli diplomats. Her grandmother came to the United States from Iraq as a result of the 1941 Farhud, and her son Naim moved to Israel as a young adult.

But what happens to the two girls next is another story.
