User blog:Muppetfan/PLEASE READ: Comments Section

As you may or may not have noticed, we have recently brought back the article comments. These comments replace the article talk pages, which are used to discuss questions or issues with the article. However, now that we have had both for a considerable amount of time, we would like to know what the users of the wiki think about them.

Pros of having article comments

• We have seen more usage of the comments than the talk pages. However, keep in mind that the majority of them didn't involve discussions about info in the actual article, whereas the talk page did.
• Seems to encourage more users to come to the wiki.
• Is easy to use.

Cons of having article comments

• Without the talk pages, it is harder to have an actual conversation about certain info in an actual article.
• Seems to attract users who create vandalism and/or foul language.
• Though the talk pages are harder to use, with them discussions can be more easily seen by all members.
