User blog:Kidsnewsnairobi7yearold/D.W. To The Future
It was a Saturday morning in the Reads family. Ms. Read was feeding Kate, Mr. Read was reading newspaper, Arthur and Buster were practicing for a science project, and D.W. was sharing her cereal with Nadine.
Buster: Arthur, this will be just the coolest thing when its finished!
Arthur: I know! It's one of the only fun homework Mr. Ratburn has ever given out!
Ms. Read: Come on Kate, eat the peas.
Kate turned her head.
Kate: No.
Ms. Read: Come on Kate, just maybe two peas.
Kate: No Mommy.
Ms. Read wiggled the can all in Kate's sight.
Kate: NO!
Kate knocked down her plate and laughed. D.W. and Nadine looked at Kate.
Nadine: She's pretty smart for a baby, I wouldn't eat peas if your mother was wiggling them in my face.
D.W.: Eitheir would I, Kate did a really smart thing.
Mr. Read: Oh Jane, did you hear the first PG James Hound movie comes out tomorrow?
Buster and Arthur rushed to Mr. Read.
Buster: That's PG rated? Oh I've gotta see it!
Ms. Read: Oh boys, it's such a long walk.
Ms. Read was stressed from cleaning up 1 in a half year old Kate's mess.
Arthur: But Mom it's the only PG James Hound movie!
Ms. Read: Arthur, no. I am not walking all that way, and besides we can't leave D.W. home with Pal.
Kate: Bovie.
Arthur: Kate, it's movie.
Kate: No, Bovie.
D.W. then pored Nadine some more cereal.
Nadine: Wooh D.W., that's enough. If we waste the whole box maybe your Mommy won't get us another Mary Moo Cow cereal box like the last time.
D.W. put the cereal down on the table.
D.W.: Ok.
D.W. and Nadine dug into there cereal. Ms. Read threw away the paper towel full of pea mush.
Mr. Read: Kate is one picky baby. If she keeps this up, on her 2nd birthday she'll probably still be drinking her milk from a bottle.
Ms. Read gave Kate her baby bottle.
Ms. Read: Oh David, you know that will never happen.
Then Arthur's dog Pal came in begging for his breakfast. Arthur looked down.
Arthur: Oh, sorry boy. I almost forgot.
Arthur mashed the dog food into Pal's bowl as Pal ate it. Then D.W. turned on Mary Moo Cow.
Mary Moo Cow: (Singing) Hey, it was a fantastic kind of day and now it's time to say, Good -
Kids: Stars!
Mary: No!
Kids: Hiccups?
Mary: Good night!
Kate fell fast asleep.
Ms. Read: Thanks for turning your goodnight show, it really helps Kate sleep.
Mary Moo Cow: Now as for you Cow fans who just can't get to sleep, lets talk about what we want to be when we grow up.
D.W.: I wanna be a Kaerar like Daddy!
Mr. Read: That's caterer, and it's pretty hard when you have all different schudeules.
D.W.: Yeah, well, I wasn't finished.
