Hi! This is my second blog post and in this blog post I will be talking about real life issues included in Arthur episodes. These issues range from small little issues to rather large issues that can affect the entire community. I will be discussing issues in this post one by one. Issue No. 1: Self - Confidence From time to time, the issue is brought up in Arthur. As I have noticed, this can affect the characters deeply just like it does to real children. This is how Arthur can make kids overcome these woes and boost their cnfidence to the brim. Good examples of self confidence is the episode were Arthur meets his new neighbours, the Melinas. When Arthur meets Roberto Melina, all of the weight on his shoulders lifts after Arthur finds out that Roberto is a fan of Bionic Bunny. This shows that things arent always as bad as they seem. Issue No. 2: Bullying and Frightening Experiences In Arthur, there is a main gang of bullies called the Tough Customers. This gang includes Binky Barnes, Molly Mc Donald and Rattles. They are a bunch of threatening bullies when they are all together. But viewers can see when they are on their own that they each have a soft side aswell. In Arthur, there is one episode that sticks out the most for being a frightening child experience. The season 9 episode, April 9th. In this episode it starts off a normal day in Lakewood Elementary. Then suddenly, the fire alarm sounds in Mr Ratburns class. The class are brought outside. But Binky comes out with a frightening account. He saw what was causing the incident and it made him fragile. Those were the words to describe it all. When Arthurs Dad has to be rescued from inside the school, Arthur is also frightened and doesnt want his Dad to go on any catering jobs. Binky and Arthur both resolve their problems by talking to somebody about it. This shows that its ok for kids to talk to an adult about anything.

Issue No. 3: Life Threatening Diseases The episode that sticks out by far is the season 12 episode, The Great Mac Grady. This is were the class learns that their beloved lunchlady Mrs Mc Grady ibattling cancer. Francine is worried more than anyone about Mrs Mc Gradys health so she decides to contact Lance Armstrong to help her with dealing abiut her friend. Francine soons learns that she should do something about it. Francine decides to have a biking fundraiser to help fight cancer. Francine then feels glad that she helps a beloved member of the community. This shows that even though this issue can affect so many, it also can be fixed by support

I hope you have enjoyed this blog! There is plenty more to come!

Bye!
