The Encyclopedia of Creatures of the Dark

The Encyclopedia of Creatures of the Dark is a book written by Robert Baxter, under the pen name "Beatrex Trobb." It appears in "Fright Night." The book contains a chapter on lycanbunnies, detailing that they come out during full moons and hunt for prey. It includes lycanbunny sightings, such as one in a Franch village in 1521 and a near-capture of a lycanbunny in Japan in 1844.

According to the encyclopedia, if one is scratched by a lycanbunny, they become one themselves. It also reads that lycanbunnies can be deterred if one sleeps in a bed made from a mulberry tree. They do not go near garlic and silver can return them to their normal form.

Arthur doubts that the information in the book is true, but Buster believes it because it is an encyclopedia. Buster's uncle, Bob, then confesses that he made up the book and that he writes scary stories in addition to being an engineer.

• In the episode, the book title is written onscreen as The Encyclopedia of the Creatures of the Dark (emphasis added). However, Arthur and Uncle Bob do not say the second "the" in their dialogue.
