Selected Scenes[edit]

Introduction[edit]

Arthur: Sometimes when kids first meet, they have trouble getting along. I remember when Muffy met Prunella.

Flashback: Muffy and Prunella.

Muffy: I hate you!

Prunella: I hated you first.

Muffy: But I hate you more!

Prunella: I hate you times infinity!

Arthur: Now they’re best friends.     Behind him, Muffy and Prunella are skating arm in arm.     Binky didn’t like the Brain at first.

Flashback: In kindergarten, Binky has build a tower out of three blocks. Brain has built a whole castle. Binky throws one of his blocks. Sound of falling blocks and Brain crying. Flashback end.

Arthur: Maybe they aren’t best friends.     Binky puts a branch as an arm in a snowman, causing the snowman to collapse. He sees Brain building the Eiffel Tower out of snow. He pushes Brain into it.

Binky+Brain: (laugh)

Arthur: …but they’ve learned to work it out. Nothing was like when we all met Sue Ellen.

Buster: Sometimes they're invisible and sometimes they're not!

Francine: Maybe they were never invisible. Maybe their lights and TV are on a timer.

Buster: That's just the kind of thinking that'll get this planet conquered.

Francine: Hmph.

Prunella: I heard strange things about them, too.

Buster: I knew it! What'd you hear?

Prunella: My sister Rubella heard they had to leave their old home.

Francine: Why?

Buster: Maybe their planet's water got too polluted so they came to steal ours and...

Prunella: They have a lot of statues and paintings and stuff in their home. You know what I think? I think they were in another city, like Paris... France.

#[edit]

Prunella has told a story that Sue Ellen has robbed the Louvre.

Sue Ellen: Elwood City, where no one suspects I’m here to rob them.

Francine: Whoa.

Arthur: I saw her. She’s not the cat burglar type.

In another fantasy, Sue Ellen walks up to a scientist working on a computer holding a tea tray.

Scientist: Thank you Miss Jones.   Sue Ellen drops the tray except for the teapot.

Sue Ellen: I’m not Miss Jones. Give me the master program of I’ll ruin your computer forever.    She holds the teapot over the keyboard.

Scientist: Hh!         He gets a CD ROM out of a safe.

Sue Ellen: I spy for a country, that even I can’t pronounce the name of, but soon everyone will be struggling to say it as we conquer the world.      She pours tea over the keyboard.

Scientist: Nein!

Sue Ellen drives a red sports car (with the license plate SULN) up to a gate labelled: “NGNGA ГAГHC Embassy”. The sign on the gate swings open, revealing a man behind it.

Agent: Everyone’s after you.   She hands him the disk.    Where will you go?

Sue Ellen: Somewhere I can pretend to be an ordinary girl. But one day I’ll return to Ning.. Ningafafa… Ningafafa… I’ll come back here!          Fantasy ends.

Buster: Arthur, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.

Buster then tells his theory about Sue Ellen being an alien spy.

Sue Ellen holds snow in her hand.

Sue Ellen: Snow is so weird. It’s like cold wet sand.

Buster: (laughs nervously) Didn’t they have snow on your planet… oh-ah… where you’re from?

Sue Ellen: Nope, I’ve never seen it before.     Arthur and Buster look nervous.

#[edit]

In Buster’s imagination, Sue Ellen has trapped him inside a bubble floating in space.

Buster: Earth’s enslaved because I couldn’t control my appetite.   Wish I brought some cookies.

Sue Ellen approaches Buster and Arthur in the school cafeteria.

Sue Ellen: My family wants you and your mom to come over for hot dogs. Arthur told me you love them, and I’ve never had an American hot dog.

Buster looks angrily at Arthur who whistles innocently.

Buster:  Hot dogs. Hot dogs? Okay!   They’ve got me. They know I can’t resist them. Oh well, maybe they’re friendly aliens.
