Secondary audio program (SAP) is an alternate audio feed that is broadcast by a television channel. Depending on the channel and specific program that is airing, it is most often used as a descriptive audio service or to provide audio in another language.

During most broadcasts of Arthur on PBS, SAP is utilized to provide Descriptive Video Service (DVS), an audio narration for those who are blind or sight-impaired.[1] Arthur was the first daily television program to offer such service, starting in 1997.[2] DVS was developed by GBH.[3]
