No Guessing! is a board game that first appeared in Arthur the Loser. Arthur bought it because of its very convincing T.V. advertisement. The game is played by rolling a die, moving a certain amount of spaces, and answering questions. The finish/winning point is a button in the middle with a large star on it, when pressed on; it makes a sound and the player raises their arms and yells, "I win!" On the front cover there's a picture of an owl either graduating high school or college.
This game varies in different questions, some difficult and some easy. A few examples would be:
- A scientist combined one liter of H2O and nine ounces of soil, what compound did he make? (answer: mud)
- A baseball is covered in what material? (answer: cowhide)
- What is the largest city in France? (answer: Paris)
- What is the third planet from the sun? (answer: Earth)
- A four-legged barking canine. (answer: dog)
- The bread around the hot dog is the... (answer: bun)
- The site of King Solomon's Mines (answer (possibly): present-day southern Africa)
- Sue Ellen answered "Zimbabwe", which could be correct
- How do you spell Cat? (answer: C-A-T)
- What line goes around the Earth? (answer: equator)
- A Basketball is filled with.... (answer: air)
- How many points is a basket in basketball worth? (answer: 2 points)
There was also a period in Arthur the Loser where they showed a montage of Arthur saying random phrases (which were likely the answers):
- Icing the puck
- A lobster
- The Boston Red Sox
- 1945 (possibly: "When did World War II end?")
- Dirt
The questions that he was answering during that time are unknown.
