Mike Fincke (guest star)

Edward Michael “Mike” Fincke (born March 14, 1967) is an American astronaut who guest starred as himself in the Arthur episode “Buster Spaces Out”.

Fincke studied Aeronautics and Astronautics and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1990, where he worked as a Space Systems Engineer, Space Test Engineer, and Flight Test Engineer.

In 1996, Fincke was selected by NASA to be an astronaut. After working as a communicator and as backup crew, he first flew into space in 2004 as member of the ISS Expedition 9 During his first spacewalk, his suit malfunctioned. He mentions that incident on Arthur. In 2008, he commanded ISS Expedition 18 and in 2011 he flew to the ISS in a space shuttle

As of 2020, Fincke has spend 381 days in space, including 48 hours and 37 minutes of spacewalking.

Apart from Arthur, Finke has guest starred in The Wiggles and has appeared in several documentaries.
