Mecca is a city in Saudi Arabia. It is sacred to Muslims all over the world, who pray fives times a day while facing toward the city. Every Muslim is also required to make at least one trip to Mecca during their lifetime (unless they are physically or financially unable to do so), in a massive annual pilgrimage known as the Hajj (pronounced "Hodge").
