Behind the scenes[edit]
Holly Holland of Canadian, Oklahoma had the idea for an Arthur show about a contest. She was featured in the And Now a Word from Us Kids segment following "The Contest".
The other stories throughout "The Contest" were made by: Jared Delello (Whitehouse Station, New Jersey), Kiera Carry (Long Beach, New York), Daniel Hanson (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), Corey Baldwin (Hartford, Michigan), and Lauden Belongia (Kewaskum, Wisconsin).
