Arthur Wiki:Image policy
This page outlines the rules and guidelines that apply to the use of images on the Arthur Wiki
Basic rules[edit]
- PNG files are the best for screenshots unless the image is already saved in another file format.
- Give your file a descriptive name.
- Use a {{fairuse}} tag for all images from the show.
- Give a good filename for each image and keep the extension in lowercase format. (Arthur.JPG shouldn't be used)
- Make sure the images are related to Arthur. You can have some images for your userpage, but not too many.
Screenshots[edit]
Screenshots are extremely useful for adding visual appeal to articles. The best screenshots are taken from DVDs, but some users may not own them, and not every episode is on DVD. The best alternative is to take stills while watching the episodes on legal websites, such as the official Arthur websites Video section
Promotional images[edit]
There are not many promotional images of Arthur around, nonetheless some do exist. These should be added to the relevant episode page.
Character images[edit]
For each character, there should be a main picture. The best choice is to use a screenshot from an episode.
