Arthur's Puppet Theater: Cinderella is a game on the Arthur page of the PBS Kids website.

Gameplay[edit]

The game has stick puppets of Arthur, Buster, Muffy and D.W. act the story of Cinderella. First, the player must assign each character a role: the prince, Cinderella, the fairy godmother, and the narrator.

While the story progresses, the player can make choices to impact the characters' personality and voice lines. The first choice is whether Cinderella will be greeted by a fairy godmother or a fairy inventor. Next, Cinderella is granted either a movie star or an astronaut uniform. The player also gets to choose Cinderella's shoes: glass slippers, sneakers, or space boots. Finally, the pumpkin is transformed into a carriage, a rocket, or a sports car.

When Cinderella arrives at the castle, she meets Prince Charming, Prince-bot 5000, or Prince Megastar. They request to either shake, hop, or dance. Cinderella's response is happy, sad, or silly. That night, the prince searches for Cinderella at either the ballroom, the grandma's cottage in Little Red Riding Hood, or the bears' cottage in Goldilocks. When the prince returns to Cinderella, the narrator states that the moral is, "[I]f you ever have the chance to dance in a castle, do it! You never know who you might meet."

Unused content[edit]

Unused variants of the loading bar exist, reading "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" and "Little Red Riding Hood." Additionally, designed in a different style than the rest of the game, cards reading "Ukulele," "Beanstalks," "Teddy Bear," "Ducky," and "Chair" can be found in the option sprites.
