"The Chips are Down" is the first half of the 5th episode of season 3 of the animated children's series Arthur. It originally aired on November 2nd, 1998.
Plot
Arthur and Buster are sorting potato chips and find a big green one. D.W. eats the chip, so Arthur and Buster trick her into think it's poisonous. Binky eats one, too, and the both of them make the best out the last days of their lives.

- In the end, there is a male poodle walking with Prunella and Rubella's mother Wanda, although it is unknown to whether or not he was their father, but he has never appeared again since.
