Trivia

  • Muffy already met Buzz in "Mr. Alwaysright", which aired before this episode. Although, it could've been a sequel episode.
  • The Elwood City Clothing Exchange already had a makeover in that episode. Of course it could have taken place after this episode timeline wise.
  • This was the first episode written by Wolfram Breuer.

Cultural references

  • The intro parodies Muffy as Marie Antoinette.
  • The brand of jacket that Muffy wears, Patagucci, is a parody of the American outdoor clothing company Patagonia. The logo on the windbreaker is also very similar to Patagonia's mountain logo in real life.
  • Loco Chanel is a reference to Coco Chanel.

Errors

  • In one scene, Muffy is buying with a credit card. This is unrealistic, since at her age, she shouldn't be allowed to use a credit card until she is around 13 years old, although to her family, they likely trust her more with such things.
