The eighteenth season of Arthur premiered on PBS Kids on September 29, 2014 with "The Friend Who Wasn't There / Surprise!".^[1]^[2] It is scheduled to conclude on September 11, 2015 with "Some Assembly Required".^[3]

The season was in production throughout 2013 and 2014.^[4]^[5]^[6] Storyboarding began around early December 2013.^[7] This is the third season produced by 9 Story Entertainment.^[8] There will be 10 episodes in this season.^[9]

Lydia was going to appear in this season,^[10]^[11] but the episode "Little Miss Meanie" was made part of season 19 instead.
