Otis is a character that first appeared in Arthur's Eyes as a background character, and later had many other background appearances. In Dancing Fools he is Muffy's dance partner. Throughout the entire series, his only speaking lines were "Arthur gleeps spam" and "I thought I was supposed to lead."
Appearance
He is a brown colored bear that wears a cream colored sweater, blue jeans, and red and white shoes. He also has short black hair. In some of his cameos he wears glasses, such as in Dancing Fools.
Trivia
- Despite being a 3rd Grader, Otis has been seen hanging out with 4th Graders more then 3rd Graders. He is mostly seen with 4th Grade Male Dog.
- Otis was seen at the Children's Hospital Boston along with his mother in the Arthur's Guide to Children's Hospital Boston website feature, wearing a red sweater over a white shirt, and brown pants.
- In the intro for the show, Otis is seen along with two other unnamed fourth graders (4th Grade Male Dog and 4th Grade Male Dog (Number 2)) and the rest of the main characters. There is a chance Otis and those two fourth graders were suppose to play some role in the series earlier on, but it either never materialized or may indeed happen in future episodes and seasons.
