Hansel and Gretel is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale from 1812. Since then, it has become very well known.

In "Just Desserts," the story is very strongly referenced in Arthur's dream. Arthur plays Hansel and D.W. plays Gretel in the dream. The two are lost, with only a piece of bread which they used to lay down crumbs to get back, yet a creature (who turns out to be Buster) eats them all. They find themselves at a house made of sweets, where a witch (which bears a resemblance to Mr. Ratburn), takes them to a mall to get an oven for them. He then commences to try to cook them, however the seven dwarves (Tibble Twins) stop him, leading to a large fairy tale crossover, interweaving multiple fairy tales.
