Gerald is the cousin of the owner of Meteor Comix, Freddie K. In Tales of Grotesquely Grim Bunny he owns the store when Freddie K. retires. Freddie K. comes back at the end of the episode.
Gerald is nice but he added horror comics (that were intended for a teen audience) to the shelves of Meteor Comix, much to the dissaproval of Arthur, Buster and Fern. After Freddie K. gains ownership of the store again he added a horror section of the shop.
