Gerald is the cousin of the owner of Meteor Comix, Freddie K. In "Tales of Grotesquely Grim Bunny" he owns the store when Freddie K. retires. Freddie K. comes back at the end of the episode.
Gerald added horror comics (that were intended for a teen audience) to the shelves of Meteor Comix, much to the disapproval of Arthur, Buster and Fern. After Freddie K. gains ownership of the store again, he added a smaller horror section to the shop.
