The events include things like the woodworking class that George's father Neal Lundgren teaches. As revealed in the episode Popular Girls, Mr. Ratburn also runs a day camp where the kids actually had fun. In the same episode Mr. Ratburn even did karate lessons there too. George's friend Carl who debuted in the episode When Carl Met George states he comes to the community center every Tuesdays and Thursdays.
