"Double Dare" is the second half of the 1st episode of season 5 of the animated children's series Arthur. It originally aired on September 4th, 2000.
Summary
Arthur, Buster, Francine, and the Brain resent the large amount of homework they are assigned, which culminates in a large number of dares issued to skip school. However, the next morning, everyone agrees to call of the plot due to guilt (personified by a giant clam). Francine fails to receive the message and carries on with the dare.
After several failed attempts to get Francine into the school unnoticed, Binky agrees to distract Mr. Ratburn. When Binky's distraction fails, Francine is caught coming into the school late, and everyone gets sent to the principal's office to figure out what happened. Everyone confesses, but only Francine receives punishment, as she was the only one who actually was not in attendance at school.
