The Elwood City Community Gardens is a garden nearby the condominiums. The primary maintainer of the garden is Fritz Langley. Buster volunteers at the garden and looks up to Fritz. The community garden is located in front of Buster's condo, in Northwest Elwood City. It also neighbors the library. The garden grows such plants as tomatoes, zucchini, bok choy (Chinese cabbage) and carrots. The tomatoes have been described by the Brain, a dog, Arthur and Mr. Ratburn as the best tomatoes they've ever eaten.
