This article documents a number of articles that contain specific material regarding the policies of Arthur Wiki. Here you will find a basic summary of each policy.
Blocking policy
:Main article: Arthur Wiki:Blocking policy Blocking is a feature that enables administrators to block a contributor; registered or anonymous; from editing for a certain period of time. Blocking is to prevent an action that is against the policies, and it is not a punishment for users who violate a policy. Blocks should be given for a short time at first, gradually increasing each time the contributor is blocked.
Blog post policy
:Main article: Arthur Wiki:Blog post policy Blogs are a feature that allows someone to share Arthur or Arthur Wiki related opinions or views. Blogs that are made to gather opinions or start conversations generally should not be permitted, however, if the writer shares a viable amount of opinion of his/her own, than the blog is considered acceptable. Blogs containing inappropriate material, or any that violate these policies will be deleted promptly.
Rules and Guidelines
- Neutral point-of-view
- Everything that our readers can see, including articles, templates, categories and portals, must be written neutrally and without bias.
- Article titles
- The ideal title for an Arthur Wiki article is recognizable to English speakers, easy to find, precise, concise, and consistent with other titles. Also, add redirects if the article has another common used named.
- Assume good faith
- If someone makes a bad edit, they are most likely trying not to. However, if they do it multiple times they will be warned and banned. This goes for undoing good edits that have a typo in them.
- If it's wrong, fix it.
- If you see something wrong with the name of a page rename it.
- Cite Sources
- If something is questionable and does not have a citation undo the edit or tell the editor to cite the source they got that information from.
- USE GOOD GRAMMAR
- Use spellcheck. Consistently using bad grammar will get you warned.
- Fanons
- Users here must have made at least fifteen positive edits on the wiki before they can make fanons/fictional stories. If not their fanon will be deleted.
Zero Tolerance
These are the rules that will get you blocked automatically without no warning. Blocks in this range could go any where from 1 week to infinite.
- Edit Wars
- Users who engage in edit wars will all be blocked no questions asked and regardless of "who started it".
- Sock puppets
- Sock puppets are not allowed and will be blocked without warning. Sock puppets do not include bots.
- Racial Slurs/Hateful Words
- users that use racial slurs like the "n" word or "c" word or uses hateful words against people that are gay will be blocked immediately.
- Threats
- Any user that threatens another user or their families will be blocked no questions asked.
- Vandalism
- Any user that removes pictures, sentences, paragraphs, adds inappropriate content to pages, or removes legit edits will be blocked.
- Violating Privacy
- Any user that violates another user's privacy will be blocked.
- Abusing Power (For users with rights only)
- Any user that abuses their power will be blocked immediately and their rights will be revoked for a month.
