Row, Row, Row Your Boat is a popular children's song. In "Arthur Cleans Up," Arthur, Buster, the Brain, Binky, Francine, Muffy, Prunella, Sue Ellen, and another student sing a version of the song in the Dental Hygiene Choir during one of Arthur's flashbacks. Instead of using the usual lyrics, the song is replaced with lrics referring to dental hygiene. While the students were dressed formally, Ms. Krasny (the conductor using a dental excavator instead of a stick) was wearing a dentist's coat over her dress. The children in the choir see this as a moment of embarrassment, due to the fact that the audience began laughing at them.

Floss, floss, floss your teeth
Make your mouth feel clean
Gargle and spit, gargle and spit...
