Introduction[edit]

Arthur sits in the treehouse.

Arthur: My sister D.W. can drive me crazy. But there's someone who drives her crazy too: the Tibble twins. Because they always want to be better than D.W. at everything.

D.W. and the Tibbles are playing in the sandbox.

Timmy: D.W., we can yell louder than you.

D.W.: I don't care.

Timmy+Tommy: (yell)                  D.W. puts her fingers in her ears.

Arthur: They could ride a two-wheeler first.     Flashback: The Tibbles race past D.W. who is on a tricycle.

Timmy+Tommy: (laugh)

Arthur: And they could tell time before D.W. ...they said.    Flashback: D.W. points at the grandfather clock in her living room.

D.W.: So, what time is it?

Timmy: It’s eleventy-twelve. (the clock actually reads ten past four)

Tommy: He's right.

D.W.: Someday I’m gonna be able to do something you can’t.

Timmy+Tommy: No, you’re not!

D.W.: Yes, I am!

Timmy+Tommy: No, you’re not!

D.W.: Grrr!

#[edit]

D.W.: These are the adventures of a smart, great, perfect girl named... B.W.

Tommy: Hey, that's close. If it was D.W., I'd think you were making this up.

D.W.: (nervous chuckle)  Quiet. I'm reading. B.W. was a great kid, who was a princess, a genius and a cool person, but she was too polite to brag. And she had her own pony who lived in her room, and her parents said that was okay.

#[edit]

D.W.: B.W. called for Secret Agent Nadine, an agent so secret no one else had ever seen her.

#[edit]

Timmy: Spanky was so brave.
Tommy: He was the best bird.
Arthur: Tommy, Timmy, your grandmother's here.
Tibbles: Aw! Rats!
Arthur: D.W., what did you do to them?
Tommy: She read to us from the best book ever!
D.W.: Um... I'll go open the door.
Arthur: She read to you? D.W.?
Timmy: From one of your books. Can we borrow it? She didn't finish.
Arthur: Yeah, sure.
Tommy: Bye, D.W.!
D.W.: Wait! The book!
Timmy: Arthur said we could borrow it.
Tommy: Grandma, you must read this book to us tonight. It's great!
Arthur: They'll gotta find out that you can't really read, D.W.
D.W.: So? It kept them quiet and for one day I could do something they couldn't.
Tommy: That's where D.W. stopped reading.
Mrs. Tibble: "Leonardo da Vinci worked hard..."
Timmy: What?

Tommy: Who's Lemon-yellow da Vintage?
Timmy: Read it right, Grandma. Agent B.W. was with the president.
Huh? This book is about Leonardo da Vinci.
Hey, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Tommy: Yeah, it's a magic book! Every time you read it, it's a different story!
Timmy: Exactly! We'll never need another book ever!
Mrs. Tibble: "Leonardo da Vinci worked hard to invent a flying machine..."
Tommy: Wait till I read like D.W.
Timmy: Me, too!
