Philip Seymour Hoffman (William Phillmore Toffman in the series) (July 23, 1967 – February 2, 2014) was an American actor, director, voice artist, and comedian from New York City.

Hoffman was known for films, such as Capote, The Big Lebowski, and The Master and directed many plays and decided to return to Elwood City where he started his first play It Began with a Whistle. Hoffman helped Fern be able to adapt her own character to the roll of the character Little Lucy in "No Acting Please."
