For those of you who don't know, Demetre, (fully named Demetre Winston Adams or Demetre Winston Demming-Adams, Demming is his mother's maiden name) is my O.C. Arthur character, who, like Carl, has Asperger's Syndrome. This is my first picture ever of him

Such a cute, yet troubled, character. And sometimes troublesome but doesn't mean to be so bad.

Anyway, Demetre may have grown in popularity, well if so, not that high, maybe popularity is the incorrect word to use but some people like him. And I've even had a few people tell me they wish that he could appear on Arthur.

I'd kind of like that too, although I'm not so sure I want to commit Demetre to being an actual Arthur character since he's my character and I know more about him than anyone else does and the responsibility of putting Demetre inside the show.

But I am posting this because I would like to know how many more of you would like to see Demetre appaer in Arthur? Even those of you who already chimed in and said so before can reexpress it on this blog.

It would be nice to see Demetre in action, would it, and it would be great to see him interacting with the Arthur characters, including but not limited to Arthur himself, Buster, Francine, Sue Ellen, Brain, George, especially Carl, Demetre's fellow Aspie as we with Asperger's are called (if that's dirogitory or degrading I will not use that anymore), and who already exists. Would also be nice to see him even with Binky, and Molly, Rattles, and Slink. And why stop there? He can also interact with D.W., but I'd probably keep the Tibbles away from him, especially Timmy (in my fanfics, Timmy is an enemy of Demetre and likes to bully Demetre and cause Demetre lots of trouble). Also be nice to see how Mr. Ratburn would deal with him (though Demetre has Asperger's, I'd still put him in Mr. Ratburn's class but have Mr. Ratburn accomidate him, or we can place him in Ms. Fink's or Ms Sweetwater's class but I insist he's in Mr. Ratburn's class. Better that than be in Mr. Pryce-Jone's class, Demetre would have a meltdown if he was in Mr. Pryce-Jones' class.

Thing is though, how would the Arthur crew handle him? What would they do with him? And will they add their ideas on to Demetre and perhaps omit out my ideas, at least some of them? Well technically they have the right to do that if I gave Demetre to the Arthur crew. They may keep him named Demetre but might change his last name and change his clothing (I want Demetre to wear brown) and may have him act in ways I different than how I'd have him act, well some of that I wouldn't mind, I do like to see other people's ideas. And also, Demetre is supposed to be the youngest of Mr. Ratburn's students, as well as the shortest and weakest, weaker than even George and weaker than Carl, but they may make him taller and slightly older than I intended for him to be.

Though I know more about Demetre than anyone else, I still have more ideas to come up with for him.

And who would play his voice? I couldn't, unless Demetre was a teenager or adult, and I wouldn't mind voicing my own character, although I'm not so sure I'm ready to travel up to Canada, let alone leave the comfort of Arizona to voice this character. This is him as a teenager by the way

I still have to come up with designs of him as a baby, as a toddler, a Kindergartner, and as an adult, and maybe as an old man.

But in order to get Demetre the way I'd like him, I'd have to give lots of information about Demetre. But even if I do, as I said, not all my info may be used and the Arthur crew may have other ideas for Demetre kind of like they did with Lydia Fox, who is now Lydia Gordon.

As wonderful as the idea is to have Demetre on Arthur, being an actual Arthur character, that'll probably never happen. Well it could but you're probably more likely to win a million dollars (not saying you will though), or maybe 100 ponies than see Demetre appear on Arthur. And besides, I'm sure there are lots of other people who have characters they want to add to Arthur. So Demetre doesn't even have a snowball's chance of appearing. Demetre and I would be fortunate if he was even a mere background character or a one-time-only character.

I'm a little more into the idea of Demetre appearing on Arthur more than Bill Watterson is into the idea of making Calvin and Hobbes a TV series, which I too would like, but I'm not sure I'm 100% in love with the idea of having Demetre as an actual Arthur character.

Know this though, I wouldn't put Demetre up for fame and fortune or glory, I don't care about that and don't want that kind of attention, and even if Demetre does become an Arthur character, I still want ownership of him, I don't want to completely sell Demetre to the Arthur crew, well maybe not sell but give all my rights of Demetre to them.

Also, unlike other characters like Sue Ellen and Ladonna, Demetre isn't a permanent resident in Elwood City, he only stays a short time for like a couple to three months before leaving again. And it's not his first time in Elwood City, he's not from there though he's from Gary, Indiana, he was there during Kindergarten and First Grade and during Kindergarten did he meet Arthur, Francine, Buster, Muffy, Alan, George, and Alex to name a few. He also met the Tough Customers but only Molly, Rattles, Kiefer, the 4th Grade Male Dog, and the 4th Grade Female Aardvark, all of whom bullied him until he left. And Demetre doesn't return to Elwood City until he's 16 years old and a Junior in High School and goes to the same High School Arthur goes to. But during his first return to Elwood, he does meet Carl, George introduces them to each other sometime after he re-enrolls in Lakewood.

But wouldn't it be nice to see, and hear, Demetre in action? Who of you would like to see Demetre on Arthur?

Remember, this is most likely never going to happen, but I'd just like to know who of you or how many of you are into the idea of seeing Demetre appear.

Also, what would you like to see Demetre do if he was on Arthur? Please express your thoughts, how would you like to see Demetre, not just seeing him but how would you like to see him function? What would you like to see him do?
