Treenie

Treenie is the imaginary friend of Vicita. She first appeared in Fifteen, along with Nadine and Uncle Wormy. She speaks Spanish.
The character Treenie was originally named Violeta. The show's production coordinator at the time thought that name was too mature for an imaginary friend and perhaps changing the character's name to Treenie was more appropriate. "Treenie" happened to be the nickname of the production coordinator's daughter, Triana, who was a regular visitor to the WGBH Children's Programming offices in Boston where the show is produced.
