"The Return of the King" is the second half of the 9th episode of season 3 of the animated children's series Arthur. It originally aired on January 4th, 1999.
Plot
Arthur dreams about himself, Arthur's friends, and Mr. Ratburn being at a medieval fair competing for a trophy against a class from Glenbrook led by Mr. Ratburn's former teacher, Mr. Pryce-Jones. They see doppelgangers During the competitions, Arthur is sidetracked by the sword in the stone and Mr. Ratburn's class fear that Mr. Pryce-Jones may replace Mr. Ratburn if they lose. Arthur is the king because he is the return of the king.

Goofs
- In the maze, when Arthur claims that his shadow is moving, he falls backwards; but in the next few seconds, he falls through a maze wall and tears up the maze.
- Francine shoud have to lick her arrow so she is the first to win but she did not.
