That's a Baby Show! is the second half of the 10th episode of Season 4. It originally aired on November 8th, 1999 with My Music Rules.
Summary
Arthur is put in an awkward situation, when, after arguing with his sister because she watches "Mary Moo Cow", a baby show, she tells him that the real baby show is "The Love Ducks." Intrigued, Arthur watches an episode- and becomes hooked on it! He tries to hide it from his friends, which is not easy, because it airs around the same time "Dark Bunny" airs. In the end of the show, Arthur's friends all admit that they have been hiding a secret and that they watch "Love Ducks."
Plot
Arthur learns of a new show called Dark Bunny from Buster and Francine. Eagerly, he goes on to watch it only to find D.W. already watching "Mary Moo Cow". Just as the show ends, Arthur is about to change the channel on which Dark Bunny airs, but instead ends up watching "The Love Ducks", which is a baby show according to D.W. Arthur is intrigued by the show because it is "weird". He watches it every day instead of Dark Bunny, and, as a result, has difficulty discussing Dark Bunny with his friends. One day, Buster and Francine see him watching "The Love Ducks" and Francine purposely tells everyone that he watches "The Love Ducks". Soon, however, Buster sees the show in a store and rents a Love Ducks C.D. In the end, Arthur and his friends gather at his house to watch it together with Baby Kate. All his friends admit to watching "The Love Ducks" before because of it's strangeness, even Francine.
Trivia
Notes
- While Francine is watching Dark Bunny at her apartment, Catherine says "Oh, brother!" while doing her homework. Catherine obviously doesn't like the show.
- D.W. says "Mary Moo Cow is not a baby show!".
- Francine and Buster tells everybody that Arthur likes "Love Ducks" when they hear him watching it. Arthur's own best friend!
