In Part II, the show goes on without Francine. When she arrives with the destroyed prop, [[Buster Baxter|Buster]], in a makeshift alien costume, enters onstage unscripted and entertains much of the bored audience. The entire production is deemed ruined as he accidentally tears the backdrop, but it goes on better than expected as they realize that the audience enjoyed his stunt.

When Arthur fakes an illness, his dad finds out that he is worried about him because he was trapped in the school during the fire. He helps him see that it's his job to worry about Arthur. Sue Ellen gets a new diary from Muffy. Soon the kids return to Lakewood.

*This is the first season where [[Mark Rendall]] does the voice of [[Arthur Read|Arthur]], replacing [[Justin Bradley]]. Rendall also redubbed Bradley's dialogue for [[Season 6]] when it went into syndication. This is also the first season that [[Jason Szwimmer]], [[Alex Hood]] and [[Aaron Grunfeld]] voices [[D.W. Read|D.W.]], [[Alan Powers|Brain]] and [[Tommy Tibble]], respectively, replacing [[Oliver Grainger]], [[Steven Crowder]] and [[Jonathan Koensgen]].
