The Purple Orange was the flawed creation of Dr. Rhymenstein in Binky's dream in "Rhyme for Your Life".
Although the doctor planned it to be good, something went wrong in its creation and it turned evil. It later came to Rhymenstein Mansion to eat the doctor and kidnap his daughter Clementine. Binky eventually rescued Clementine from the monster by crushing it in an avalanche started by his "barbaric scream". The monster's body was turned into fruit tea, and the people of Verseburg awarded Binky for his actions. The doctor was probably rescued from the monster's stomach in a big bad wolf concept, although it is never specifically said so.
