The Purple Orange was the flawed creation of Dr. Rhymenstein in Binky's dream.

Although the doctor planned it to be good, something went wrong in its creation and it turned evil. It later came to Dr. Rhymenstein's mansion to eat the doctor and kidnap his daughter Clementine. Binky eventually rescued Clementine from the monster by crushing it in an avalanche started by his barbaric yawp. The monster's body was turned into fruit tea, and the people of Verseburg awarded Binky for his actions.
