Penny is an alligator that lives at the Alligator Sanctuary in Lousiana. She appears in one of Ladonna's stories in "Based on a True Story." According to Ladonna, her brother Gussie worked at the sanctuary one summer, and was so bored that he brought the family's television set. Penny liked the soap opera so much that Gussie had to let the sanctuary keep the television set. Eventually, Penny had babies who also like soap operas.
