"Little Jack Murphy" is the ghost of a boy said to have had locker 237, a haunted locker. He turns out to be just one of Fern's stories, although being slightly based on a real student named Jay Mayberry.

After he was assigned the locker, strange misfortunes began happening to him. A black cat crossed his path, he rode his bike into a bush, stepped in wet cement, and got his lunch box stolen by a dog. Strange events continued until, one day, he just disappeared.

There is a slight chance that he is a real ghost, as at the end of the episode, a swing oddly swings itself in time with a child's laughter, although this may have just been the wind and a child offscreen laughing in the background or something like that.

Trivia[edit]

  • His "misfortunes" are nearly identical to Brain's in "Friday the 13th."
  • His only line was screaming when he crashed into a bush. This scream was reused from Timmy Tibble in "D.W. Rides Again." Coincidentally, both were riding their bikes into a bush.
