Hurricane Sadie was a hurricane that hit Elwood City. According to Brain, it was the size of France. Several buildings were destroyed, but many more survived. The hurricane caused flooding on several places, including the Katzenellenbogan River. The Army Corps of Engineers was called in to help clean up the damage.
