Francine Frensky

Francine Alice Frensky is the local tomboy, and best friend to Muffy Crosswire. Francine has mentioned several times that she is Polish-Jewish (Arthur's Perfect Christmas, Is That Kosher?).

Francine loves sports (soccer, hockey, bowling etc.). The only sports she doesn't excel at are badminton and figure skating. Even though Francine loves sports, she also shows a passion for things not related to sports (dancing, parties, etc.). Francine often struggles when she discovers she doesn't have an immediate knack for a sport such as circus performing or horseback riding, but works hard to improve herself.

Francine is an excellent singer and drummer. However, she can't do both at once very well. She has sung at the talent show, and plans to drum and sing in the future.

Even though Francine often does fairly well in school, she does struggle from time to time. At one point she even resorted to plagiarizing an entire paper.

At the start of the show, Francine was very mean and would get angry easily (to the point where Buster and Brain would say that her head would pop off from anger) (Meek for a Week), and once called Fern a mouse. However, as the show pogressesed into later seasons Francine's personality softened. Francine's dad is a garbage man (which once caused her a great deal of embarassment) (My Dad, the Garbage Man). Later, her dad brought home a kitten that she named Nemo.

Francine lives with her father, mother, and sister,Catherine in an apartment building.

Relationships

• Arthur and Francine - Throughout the show there's been hints about a soft crush between Arthur and Francince (they were embarassed when rumors spread they were in love).

• Francince and George - Francine often defends George from insults after Vomitrocious!, and danced togther as a couple in the fred and ginger awards.

• Muffy and Francine - As soon Muffy moved to school, she and Francine have been best friends.
