Francine loves sports (soccer, hockey, bowling etc.). The only sports she doesn't excel at are badminton and figure skating. Even though Francine loves sports, she also shows a passion for things not related to sports (dancing, parties, etc.). Francine often struggles when she discovers she doesn't have an immediate knack for a sport such as circus performing or horseback riding, but works hard to improve herself.

Francine's dad is a garbage man (which once caused her a great deal of embarassment) (''[[My Dad, the Garbage Man]]''). Later, her dad brought home a kitten that she named [[Nemo]].
