I'm not sure if this the best place to ask this since it's a technical issue, but I'd figure I'd try. I have CDs for the games "Arthur's Computer Adventure" and "Arthur's Adventures with D.W.". I was hoping to run the games on my computer and get info and screenshots and whatnot, but I've run into some complications. I think Arthur's Computer Adventure would run fine on a Windows XP, so as soon as I get the CD drive on my Windows XP computer I'll try it out. Arthur's Adventures with D.W., on the other hand, is for Windows 95/98 if I'm not mistaken. I noticed there are pages on the wiki for some of the other games that came out in the mid-90s, like Arthur's Birthday. Does anyone know of any methods for running these older games? (Aside from purchasing a Windows 95/98 computer)

  • I think normally these days such things are accomplished using emulation. Try a Google search on "Windows 95" or "Windows 98" paired with "emulator". Also here is a page with a copy of Arthur's Adventures With D.W. that states that it is XP-compatible; could be a different version, though. ProfessorTofty (talk) 05:31, August 17, 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks, I see about trying that out. From my personal experience, Arthur's Computer Adventure previously worked fine on my XP computer, but Arthur's Adventures with D.W. didn't work. It might work if I adjust the compatibility settings though. I already tried doing that on my new laptop, but even after adjusting the compatibility settings, the first game has visual problems, and the second doesn't seem to work at all. Anyways, I'll see about trying an emulator. Thanks for the reply. :) Bluecake (talk) 21:32, August 17, 2015 (UTC)
