Well, this is the first watercooler forum that I have written. The reason I made this watercooler is because there has been a lot of discussion regarding credits information on Arthur episodes. Mostly about the voice cast, but I also think that there is room for discussion about other parts of the credits too.

Now, to the topic at hand:

I have noticed since around October 2018 that some PBS airings of Arthur have incorrect credits information, usually with regards to reruns of Seasons 1-13. As some of you may already be aware of, the credits of said seasons were repackaged into widescreen for unknown reasons during 2014-15. However, these so-called "repackaged" credits have several errors. I will list some of them below, using Copyright information as an example.

Some seasons have wrong copyright listings, or are incorrectly spelled. The seasons that specifically have wrong copyrights are 1, 2, 4, 11, and 12 / 13. I will show for comparison:

Season 1 (international Series 1): Correct form of copyright information from the original version of these credits (which is still the version used on online prints, airings outside of the U.S., basically anywhere outside of current PBS TV reruns): ©1996 WGBH Educational Foundation and CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Incorrect form of the copyright, which is what PBS reruns have on the "repackaged" credits: Copyright © 1996 CINAR Productions Inc. under license from WGBH Educational Foundation.

Season 2 (international Series 2 for the first ten episodes, international Series 3 for the remaining ten episodes): Correct form of copyright from the original version of this season's credits (likee Season 1, this version is still being used on all versions of this season, except for current PBS TV reruns): ©1997 WGBH Educational Foundation and CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Incorrect form of the copyright, which is what PBS reruns have on the "repackaged" credits: Copyright © 1997 CINAR Productions Inc. under license from WGBH Educational Foundation.

Season 3 (international Series 4): No difference in either version, as both have the same listing: ©1998 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims Productions, a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

...Actually, I take that back, as the only difference in the two is that the "repackaged" version has the "a" in "a subsidiary of" capitalized, so it looks like "A subsidiary of..."

Season 4 (international Series 5): "Repackaged" version on current PBS reruns says this incorrect copyright info: Copyright © 1999 CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation. under license from WGBH Educational Foundation.

Whereas it's supposed to say this, like it does on the original / everything outside of PBS airings version: ©1999 WGBH Educational Foundation and CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Season 5-10 (international Series 6-11): No difference in either version. Both versions list them as what they're supposed to look like (you can just scroll down to Season 11 if you want to skip this part)

Sesson 5 (international Series 6): ©2000 WGBH Educational Foundation and CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Season 6 (international Series 7): ©2001 WGBH Educational Foundation and CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Season 7 (international Series 8): ©2002 WGBH Educational Foundation and CINAR Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Season 8 (international Series 9): ©2003 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims IX Productions Inc., a subsidiary of CINAR Corporation.

Season 9 (international Series 10): ©2004 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims X Productions Inc., a subsidiary of Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

Season 10 (international Series 11, despite the fact that there are hidden 10s in this season): ©2005 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims XI Productions Inc., a subsidiary of Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

Season 11 (international Series 12): Correct form, used on the original version of the credits of this season, as well as everywhere except for current PBS reruns: ©2007 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims XII Productions Inc., a subsidiary of Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

Incorrect form, which is what the "repackaged" credits have: Copyright ©2007 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims XII Productions Inc., a subsidiary of Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

Season 12 / 13 (international Series 13): Correct form, used on the original version of this season's credits, as well as everywhere outside of current PBS reruns: ©2008 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims XIII Productions Inc., a subsidiary of Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

Incorrect form, used on the "repackaged" credits: Copyright ©2008 WGBH Educational Foundation and Horn Rims XIIIProductions Inc., a subsidiary of Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

...Sorry for this being a little on the long side, but I wanted to provide examples of what I mean. What are your thoughts? -Arthur Read fan (Message Wall) 18:47, February 2, 2020 (UTC)
