Behind the scenes
He is based on The Doctor, the main character from the British Sci-Fi TV show Doctor Who. His costume is similar to that of the version of the character portrayed by Tom Baker. His Ballistic Aerial Rocket for Carrying Dogs in Space ("BARCDIS") is an obvious reference to The Doctor's standard method of traveling in time and space, the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space).
