Doodle Dog was a fictional superhero aimed at younger children and helped teach them important things like respecting elders and looking carefully before crossing the street. Arthur idolized him for a short time and was going to dress up as him for a comic book convention but after kindergarteners told him that the show was for babies he gave up on Doodle Dog.
