Diogenes of Sinope was a Greek philosopher and one of the founders of Cynic philosophy. He carried a lamp while he searched the world for an honest man. In the intro of "To Tibble the Truth," he is once again disappointed in his search because the Tibbles were not honest and also accidentally broke his lamp.
