"D.W. & Bud's Higher Purpose" is the second half of the first episode in the eighteenth season of Arthur.

Summary

D.W. and Bud can't wait to ride "The Buzzard", Wonder World's newest rollercoaster. Will they make it past the persnickety ticket taker...or will they come up short?[4]

Plot

Arthur talks about some times D.W. has thought of strange schemes to get what the wants, such as selling tissues for money and pretending to be French so her parents will take her to France. As Arthur observes D.W. and Bud playing as pirates in the backyard, he says that her plans have gotten even stranger since she met Bud.

D.W. & Bud's Higher Purpose

While walking to Wonderworld]], Arthur and Ladonna are excited about a ride called The Buzzard. When D.W. and Bud get their ride tickets, they ask David to take them on The Buzzard. While walking to the ride, D.W. and Bud make a promise to go on the ride and not chicken out.
